Welcome to The Woolstead.
 

The Woolstead grew from a love of spinning and weaving and a habit of noticing the quiet beauty of Britain's coast and countryside. Time spent walking through changing seasons, watching the light across the shoreline or stopping to admire the colours of grasses, flowers and butterflies has become the inspiration behind every collection.
 

Each batt and yarn begins with a moment worth remembering. A walk by the sea, the first signs of spring, a weathered piece of driftwood or the changing colours of the evening sky are thoughtfully interpreted into fibres for spinning or felting and yarns for weaving or knitting. My hope is that they encourage you to slow down, enjoy the making process and create something that will be treasured for years to come.
 

At The Woolstead, I believe beautiful things begin with paying attention. Through the Journal, I share the observations, memories and stories that inspire each collection, inviting you to see the landscape through my eyes and perhaps notice something new in your own.
